Friends for Homeless Animals is a volunteer organization/animal rescue based at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. We were founded in May 2007 and have already had much success.

Our mission is as follows:

  • to recruit volunteers to take care of animals at Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter;
  • to provide foster homes for animals in need in accordance with Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter;
  • to find permanent loving homes for as many formerly unwanted pets as possible;
  • to raise funds and donate to Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter;

and, ultimately, to work toward a final goal in which the homeless animal population is no longer overwhelming and no animals will have to be euthanized.

Please contact us and find out how you can become a member, or help homeless animals in your area!
